Its nice to finally get some fowards with size; but couldn't Sather figure out a way to negotiate with Avery? I'm at a loss to to comprehend the HOW or WHY of this action. Was there some problem with the guy in the locker room?

BUT...I find it unfathomable that Slats couldn't find the dough to keep such a popular and productive player as Avery in Blue. I know that this is a question that 99.9% of Ranger Fans are asking. It would be nice to get an answer from the GM on this, because one is left with the impression that it was an ego problem between Sean and Glen. Until an honest explanation is forthcoming, it seems the only losers are the Rangers and the Fans.

I hope Renny can continue to work his majick and mold this new team into an honest contender. If he can't;... Sather has alot to answer for. Dolan had better act swiftly if the team takes a nosedive. He can't SKATE on this one.
